What did you expect?¶
I would expect that the form for dms links, what can be accessed in the context menu on the root level in the dms view, would display an url entry field when enabling external links.
The expected behavior is described in the user manual.
What has happened instead?¶
What could be a possible solution?¶
No idea so far.
How can we reproduce the problem?¶
Just open the form and enable the external link button.

Please copy and paste your environment information as displayed in Administration » Information or run bin/about in the root dir of your Redmine instance.
- Redmine 5.0.5
- redmine_dmsf 3.1.0 <-- not integrated in xmera Omnia 4 with this version yet but might behave similar in a lower version.

The problem is related to a javascript loading issue. The console shows something like
Uncaught TypeError: $(...).select2 is not a function
